A Month of Sand Castles & Sewing Machines

Well if you are in Morecambe today I hope you have an umbrella, wellies and sun cream. The weather can’t make up its mind today. Looking on the bright side of things, this month has been a busy one with two little children off school and trying to start on my own. I must say there is a lot to be said for ‘peace and quiet’ for I am most certainly not getting that here.

Twisted Driftwood & Little Fabric Baby Birds by JayBird ArtIn between the splash parks , beach cleans and ice-creams I have been getting my head down with the sewing machine and dremel. Creating some new baby birds, different legs & feet styling and a new crochet driftwood boat with driftwood white wash bunting.

These go in the shop website today. So why not take a look you may find that special gift for someone or just spoil yourself, why not…Large Crochet Driftwood Sail Boat with Driftwood Bunting by JayBird Art

I have exciting news also, I was ask by the gallery Arteria in Lancaster to take part in the ‘Out & About’ showing. This is not until early next year but exciting none the less. As most of you know I am disabled and unable to show my work at craft fairs etc. So getting my work out there in galleries, shops and online means alot to me, a much needed boost to carry on.
